Autodesk Inventor® Certified User
Autodesk Inventor is a computer-aided design extension application for 3D mechanical design, simulation, visualization, and documentation developed by Autodesk. Inventor allows analyzing 2D and 3D CAD models by creating a virtual representation of the final product in order to validate the form, fit, and functioning before it is built.
The Autodesk Certified User (ACU): Inventor course utilizes a learn-by-doing approach using video instruction and tutorials, immersing the student in the role of a designer for a fictional amusement park.
Students will be creating designs for products that will be used in a new themed area. Students will use the designs of these items to learn and apply skills in Inventor by learning Inventor's user interface, creating and editing 2D sketches and 3D models, applying advanced modeling techniques, assembling components, analyzing interference between components, and creating engineering drawings to document designs.
This course will help prepare students for the Autodesk Certified User (ACU) exam for Inventor and help students gain valuable employability skills in the area of mechanical design.
Earning an Autodesk Inventor certification can bring several benefits. It enhances career opportunities by demonstrating proficiency in a widely used design software.
